Entries must be typed or printed neatly submitted on official CFA forms or facsimiles via Online, US mail or in person to the entry clerk. All entries must be accompanied by proper fees, unless electronically submitted, and payable to Victor Valley Cat Club or VVCC. Electronically entries must be paid within 10 days unless entered after February 3, 2016. Entries must have the registration number on the entry blank and printed in the catalog.. All registered Kitten, Championship (except Novice) and Premiership (except Novice), recorded HHP’s entries will be scored for CFA National and Regional awards. No Adult, AOV, MISC or PROV entries will be accepted without a CFA registration number. Kittens must be 4 months of age by date of show. Kittens may be entered without registration numbers but will not be scored for CFA awards if the number is not provided by show time.
Show Hall: Palm Springs Leisure Center, 401 South Pavilion Way, Palm Springs, California 92262. The show hall is air-conditioned and handicapped accessible. Parking is free. This is a non-smoking facility. People Food: Cone Zone. Emergency number 911.
Awards: Ribbons and awards will be given according to CFA show rules. Permanent awards will be used for class awards. Fabric ribbons will be available on request.
Health: This is a non-vetted show. It is strongly advised that entries present in the show be inoculated against feline enteritis, feline rhinotracheitis, calici viruses and rabies. All entries must be free of parasites and fungi. All claws must be clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not allowed for entry per CFA Show Rules.
Show Hours: Check in 7:15 to 8:15 am. Show will start at 8:30 am promptly. Show hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. All cats with the exception of kittens must remain in the show hall until the end of judging, unless released by the show manager.
Benching: Cage size 36” L, 24” D 27” H, standard So. Cal. cage. A double is required if your security cage exceeds 36” in length. Bring cage curtains to cover sides, top and bottom. Please inform entry clerk if you are using a security cage. Groom spaces will be on a first come first served basis. One benching request per exhibitor. If agent is requested that is your benching request. No Negative Benching Requests.
Hotels: There is no official show hotel. Palm Springs has many fine hotels including four Motel 6. The nearest Motel 6 is 5 to 10 minutes away from the show hall and is located at 560 S. Palm Canyon Drive, phone 760 327-4200. They are used to cats and there has never been a pet fee in the past. The Extended Stay America is also very close and is located at 1400 East Taquitz. Each room has a kitchenette. Phone 760 416-0084. Vagabond Inn is another option. Their rooms have microwaves and refrigerators too. Another is the Quality Inn, 1269 E. Palm Canyon Dr. Also check with Priceline, Orbitz or Travelocity as they may be able to help you find a reasonably priced room. Transportation: There are 2 airports for those who wish to fly in. One is in Palm Springs and is minutes from the show hall and hotels. Renting a car is suggested. The club will not be able to provide you transportation. The second airport is in Ontario, California. This airport is 90 miles away (about an hour and a half away) but has easy access to l-10 East to Palm Springs.
Litter will be provided, bring your own litter trays and food. This show is held under the auspices of CFA and CFA show rules will be enforced and ribbons given per CFA show rules. The Victor Valley Cat Club, the Southwest Region and or the Palm Springs Leisure Center will not be responsible for damage, personal injury or loss of personal property. No cat may be left over night in the show hall. There is no vending from the cages or groom spaces.
