General: This is a CFA licensed show and all show rules will be enforced. A copy of the current show rules can be obtained online at www.cfa.org or by sending $7 to: CFA, Inc 260 East Main St. Alliance, OH 44601. Entry & Payment Information: Entries are accepted now. Entry Fees include CFA & Regional surcharges. Per show rule 6.21 each entry must be accompanied by the stipulated entry fee. All online/fax entries must be paid in full within 10 days of receipt or prior to the start of the show, whichever is first. Make checks payable to Tennessee Valley Cat Fanciers, Inc. No substitutions after the closing date. No refunds after the entry clerk has confirmed your entry or for failure to bench. Check your confirmation for accuracy and contact the entry clerk with any corrections BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE. Scoring: All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with an Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of cats/kittens without registration numbers can contact the entry clerk for a Temporary Registration Number. Show Hall: The Jacob Building at the Tennessee Valley Fairgrounds Chilhowee Park 339 Lakeside St. Knoxville, TN 37914; emergency phone: 865-522-4064 (during show hours only). The show hall is heated/air-conditioned as needed. No smoking is permitted in the show hall. Show Hours: Check-in is from 7:30 am until 8:30 am Saturday. Judging begins promptly at 9 am both days. Advertised show hours are 9 am until 5 pm on Saturday and 9 am to 4 pm on Sunday. All cats must be present until the completion of judging unless permission to leave is granted by the show manager. Hotel Info: There are several pet friendly hotels nearby (Red Roof & LaQuinta to North, East & West, and more). Fly Ins: Knoxville’s McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) is approximately 30 minutes from the show hall. We are not able to offer pick-up & drop off for exhibitors. Household Pets: All entries must be at least 4 months old; all entries 8 months or older must be neutered or spayed. Entries may not be declawed. Health: It is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia (formerly known as feline distemper or feline infectious enteritis), feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. All claws of all entries must be clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for competition. Supplies and Miscellaneous: A single cage is approximately 22"x22"x22" and is included with your entry fees. Exhibitors with a single entry using any size security cage are required to purchase an extra 1/2 cage. Litter will be provided, but bring your own litter pans, food dishes, and cat food. Bring cage curtains and grooming aids. Please bring cats in suitable carriers. Liability: Tennessee Valley Cat Fanciers, Inc. will take reasonable care to safeguard entries and exhibitors' property; however, the club, its members, nor the exhibit hall will be liable for loss or damage.
