General: This is a CFA licensed show and all show rules will be enforced. Copies of the current show rules may be ordered online at www.cfa.org or by you may request by mail CFA Central Office, 260 East Main Street, Alliance, OH 44601. The cost of $7.00 which includes S&H must be included with your order.
Entry Information: All entries must be typed or printed on an official CFA entry blank or submitted online. All entry fees must be paid according to CFA show rule 11.08a. A $50 late fee applies to payments not received within 10 days after closing. Make checks payable to Tennessee Valley Cat Fanciers, Inc. (TVCF, Inc). Returned check fee: $50.
Show Hall: The Jacob Building at the Tennessee Valley Fairgrounds, Chilhowee Park, Knoxville, TN. The show hall is heated AND air-conditioned Plenty of free and convenient parking! No smoking is permitted in the show hall. Emergency phone: (865) 522-4064 during show hours only.
Show Hours: Check-in is from 7:30am until 8:30am Saturday. Judging begins promptly at 9:00am. Advertised show hours are 10:00am until 5:00pm. All cats must be present until the completion of judging unless permission to leave is granted by the show manager.
Scoring: All cats in championship and premiership as well as kittens will be scored for CFA National and Regional awards. Registration numbers of cats in championship or premiership must be printed in the catalog. Registration numbers for kit-tens must be printed or written in the catalog for scoring. Rosettes will be awarded, and permanent flats will be used in accordance with CFA show rules.
Non-vetted Show: All cats should be free of fleas, fungus, mites, or contagious diseases. Front and back claws must be clipped. Exhibitors are strongly advised to have cats inoculated by a licensed veterinarian against feline enteritis, feline rhinotracheitis, rabies, and calici viruses, and entries should be tested for FeLV. Declawed cats are not eligible for entry. No kittens under 4 months of age allowed in the show hall. Be prepared to show litter registration on "For Sale" kittens.
Benching: One benching request per exhibitor will be honored if possible.
Show Hotels: There is not a show hotel but some in the area are (please check with hotel for pet policy): From North 1-75—Mainstay Suites, Merchants Dr; Red Roof Inn Central Ave. Pike; Super 8 North Emory Rd in Powell From East 1-40 & 1-81—Several at Strawberry Plains Pike = La Quinta, Red Roof Inn, Super 8, Best Western From West & South 1-40/1-75—Several at Cedar Bluff = La Quinta, Red Roof Inn, Best Western, Microtel Inn.
Supplies and Miscellaneous: Cages are approximately 24" x 24" x 24". Litter will be provided, but bring your own litter pans, food dishes, and cat food. Novice exhibitors, bring cage curtains and grooming aids. Please bring cats in suitable carriers.
Liability: Tennessee Valley Cat Fanciers, Inc. will take reasonable care to safeguard entries and exhibitors` property; however, the club, its members, nor the exhibit hall will be liable for loss or damage.
