Household Pet Exhibitors: Household pets will be judged in 2 rings by local celebrity guest judges.
General: This is a CFA licensed show and all show rules will be enforced. For printed show rules, send $5 to CFA, Inc., 1805 Atlantic Avenue, P.O. Box 1005, Manasquan, New Jersey, 08736-1005.
Scoring: All cats in championship and premiership as well as kittens will be scored for CFA National and Regional awards. All entries in championship and premiership must have a registration number at the time of entry to be eligible. Registration numbers of cats in championship or premiership must be printed in the catalog. Registration numbers for kittens must be printed or written in the catalog for scoring. Rosettes will be awarded, and permanent flats will be used in accordance with CFA show rules.
Entry Information: Closing Date: March 21, 2010 or when filled. All entries must be typed or printed on an official CFA entry blank or submitted online. All entry fees must be paid according to CFA show rule 11.08a. A $50 late fee applies to payments not received within 10 days after closing. Make checks payable to TVCF, Inc. Returned Check/Late Fee (after 3/31) $50 No additional fee to enter online.
Benching: One benching request per exhibitor will be honored if possible.
Show Hours: Check-in is from 7:30am until 8:30am Saturday. Judging begins promptly at 9am.Advertised show hours are 10am until 5pm. All cats must be present until the completion of judging unless permission to leave is granted by the show manager.
Non-vetted Show: All cats should be free of fleas, fungus, mites, or contagious diseases. Front and back claws must be clipped. Exhibitors are strongly advised to have cats inoculated by a licensed veterinarian against feline enteritis, feline rhinotracheitis, rabies, and calici viruses, and entries should be tested for FeLV. Declawed cats are not eligible for entry. No kittens under 4 months of age allowed in the show hall. Be prepared to show litter registration on "For Sale" kittens.
Show Hall: Our spacious show hall is located in the Jacob Building at the Tennessee Valley Fairgrounds, Chilhowee Park, 3301 Magnolia Ave. Knoxville TN 37914 (entrance at 399 Lakeside Street). The show hall is heated/Air Conditioned show hall, handicapped accessible. Plenty of free and convenient parking! No smoking is permitted in the show hall. Supplies and Miscellaneous: Cages are approximately 24" x 24" x 24". Litter will be provided, but bring your own litter pans, food dishes, and cat food. Novice exhibitors, bring cage curtains and grooming aids. Please bring cats in suitable carriers.
Liability: Tennessee Valley Cat Fanciers, Inc. will take reasonable care to safeguard entries and exhibitors` property; however, the club, its members, nor the exhibit hall will be liable for loss or damage.
