Entry & Payment Info: Entries are accepted now. Entry Fees include CFA & Regional surcharges. Per show rule 6.21 each entry must be accompanied by the stipulated entry fee. All online/fax entries must be paid in full within 10 days of receipt or prior to the start of the show, whichever is first. Make checks payable to Tails & No Tales Cat Club. No substitutions after the closing date. No refunds after the entry clerk has confirmed your entry or for failure to bench. Check your confirmation for accuracy and contact the entry clerk with any corrections BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE. FOR SALE CATS NOT ALLOWED. All entries including "Exhibition Only" must be entered on an official entry form. "Exhibition Only" entries must be accompanied by a competitive entry. Only cats entered in the show will be allowed in the show hall. All others will be removed.
Show Hall: The show hall is Gateway Hall at The Santa Clara County Fairgrounds at 344 Tully Road, San Jose. From 101 take the Tully Road exit and head west. The Tully Road exit on 101 is just south of the 280/680 interchange. The show hall is heated. The entire fairgrounds in non-smoking. People food will be available at the show hall. Santa Clara County Fairground rules prohibit bringing in outside food or beverages. The show hall will be locked at night. Tails & No Tales Cat Club, club officers, club members, or the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds will not be liable in the case of personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property. There may be a per-day charge for parking.
Show Hours: Check-in is from 8:30-9:30 am, any cat not benched by 9:30 will be marked absent. Please report any transfers or absentees at check-in. Judging will begin at 10 am on Saturday and at 9 am on Sunday. Advertised hours are 10 am 5 pm on Saturday and 9 am to 5 pm on Sunday.
Scoring: All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with a Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of cats/kittens without registration numbers can contact the entry clerk for a Temporary Registration Number.
Hotel Info: We do not have an official show hotel this year, but there are numerous pet friendly hotels in the San Jose area. Near the San Jose Airport there is the Doubletree by Hilton San Jose Phone: 408-453-4000. If you do an internet search for pet friendly hotels in San Jose you can find many more.
Household Pets: All entries must be at least 4 months old; all entries 8 months or older must be neutered or spayed. Entries may not be declawed.
Additional Info: Single cage size is approximately 21"x21"x21" and is included with your entry fee. Double cage size is 21"x21"x45 (if you purchase and extra 1/2 cage or have 2 entries) Exhibitors with a single entry using any size security cage are required to purchase an extra 1/2 cage. Kittens under 4 months are not permitted in the show hall or on the show grounds. No cats or kittens may be left in the show hall overnight. Only benched cats and kittens are permitted in the show hall, none may be confined in carriers. Litter will be provided, bring cage curtains (or coverings) to cover the sides, top and bottom of cage.
Health: It is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia (formerly known as feline distemper or feline infectious enteritis), feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. All claws of all entries must be clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for competition.
