Open Breed Summary Show Hall/Hotel: Holiday Inn - Valley View 3315 Ordway Dr. Roanoke, VA, 540-362-4500. Call the hotel and ask for the "cat Show rate". Room Rates - $81 with refundable pet deposit. The show hall is non-Smoking, heated and handicapped-accessible. The Holiday Inn Hotel Roanoke is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is centrally located to downtown Roanoke. Just 2 miles off I-81 and 1 mile from the Roanoke Regional Airport (ROA) with complimentary airport shuttle. Sorry, the club can not provide transportation. Check-In and Show Hours: Check-in is from 8 to 9:30 am on Saturday. Report any transfers or absentees at check-in. Judging will begin promptly at 10 am Saturday & 9 am on Sunday. Advertised closing is 4 pm both days. New Exhibitors: Please be sure to indicate so on your entry and we’ll be sure to bench you with some experienced exhibitors. Also, check out the CFA New Bee site for information just for new exhibitors! www.cfanewbee.org Scoring: All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with a Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of novices can contact the entry clerk for a temporary registration number. Kittens may be entered without registration numbers, but will not be scored for CFA awards if a number is not provided at show time. Kittens without a registration number or TRN will not be included in the count. *Show rule 2.19E The MISCELLANEOUS (Non-Competitive) CLASS is for any registered cat or registered kitten of a breed not accepted for Provisional Breed competition. Miscellaneous Class entries are examined by judges; however, no awards will be made in this class. All Bengal championship, premiership and kitten entries can enter under a TRN, but all Bengals in the show hall must be registerable, (5 generation pedigree with no wild blood). General Information: All ribbons and rosettes required by CFA show rules will be awarded. CFA show rules will be strictly enforced. For a copy contact CFA, 260 E. Main St. Alliance, OH 44601. It is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia (formerly known as feline distemper or feline infectious enteritis), feline rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. All cats/kittens must have all claws clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for competition. Declawed cats are not eligible. Star City CF & Central Carolina CF reserves the right to add judges not named to judge non-championship & non-premiership classes. Neither club nor Holiday Inn can accept liability for items left in show hall over night. No cats may remain in the show hall overnight. Cages are approximately 22” x 22” x 22” and are included with your entry. Exhibitors with an odd number of entries using any size security cage are required to purchase an extra 1/2 cage. New exhibitors should bring cage drapes or towel, etc., for the floor, sides and the top of the cage. Litter will be provided. Bring a litter box.
