Entry Info: Entries are accepted now. Entry Fees include CFA & Regional surcharges. Per show rule 6.21 each entry must be accompanied by the stipulated entry fee. All online/fax entries must be paid in full within 10 days of receipt or prior to the start of the show, whichever is first. Make checks payable to Platinum Coast. Returned Check (NSF) Fee is $50 + all bank fees. Late Fee (levied on any fees paid after 8/10/19) is $30. No refunds after the entry clerk has confirmed your entry or for failure to bench. Check your confirmation for accuracy and contact the entry clerk with any corrections BEFORE CLOSING DATE. No substitutions after the closing date or for failure to bench. Use of ANY size security cage with odd numbered entries requires purchase of an extra 1/2 cage.
Show Hours: Check in will be from 7:30 to 8:30 am. Judging will begin at 9 am Saturday & Sunday. Advertised show hours are 9 am to 4 pm both days.
Show Hall: Araba Temple, 2010 Hanson Street, Ft. Myers, FL 33901 Ph: 239-334-2226. The show hall is non-smoking, has air-conditioned and is handicap accessible.
Show Hotel: La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham Fort Myers Airport 9521 Market Place Rd. Fort Myers, FL 33901; Phone 239-466-0012. Free Airport Shuttle and Free Breakfast. Call the hotel and tell them you are with Platinum Coast Cat Show.
Airport Info: The closest airport is Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), Fort Myers, FL. (about 16 miles from the show hall).
Household Pets: All entries must be at least 4 months old; all entries 8 months or older must be neutered or spayed. Entries may not be declawed. HHP Exhibitors contact Charlene Campbell for assistance or additional info.
Scoring: All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with a Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of cats/kittens without registration numbers can contact the entry clerk for a Temporary Registration Number.
Supplies: A single cages measure approximately 22”x22”x22” and is included with your entry fees. Exhibitors are responsible for material or cage curtains to cover the top, sides and bottom or your cage. Exhibitors with a single entry using any size security cage are required to purchase an extra 1/2 cage. Litter will be provided. Please bring your own litter boxes, pet food, and dishes.
Health and Sales: It is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia (formerly known as feline distemper or feline infectious enteritis), feline rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. All cats/kittens must have all claws clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for competition. No kittens under four (4) months of age will be permitted in the show hall. All cats and kittens for sale must have valid Florida Health Certificates as required by Florida Law. Platinum Coast Cat Fanciers will not be responsible if this law is not followed.
Any person entering a cat or kitten in a show held under the rules of CFA shall by such act agree to abide by, and this person and the entry of this person shall be subject to these rules. CFA show rules may be obtained for $7 each from CFA, 260 E. Main St. Alliance, OH 44601.
Platinum Coast Cat Fanciers will take reasonable care of cats and property, but will not be held liable for loss of property, damage, or accidents to cats or to exhibitors.
