Pedigreed, HHP, Agility, and Junior Showmanship Entries, mailed, faxed & e-mailed
All mailed entries must be submitted on an official CFA entry form (photocopies are acceptable). The official CFA entry form is available on-line at www.cfa.org/forms/entry-form.pdf. Online entries may be made via either the Southern Region Web site or Cat Show Entries.Per CFA show rules, fees for entries submitted electronically (online) must be made WITHIN TEN DAYS or entry or at check-in, whichever comes first Make checks payable to National Capital Cat Show. The returned check fee is $75. It is the exhibitors'responsibility to verify before the closing date that the entries were received. Entry clerk will call collect to obtain additional information on any illegible entries.

Kittens & Kittens For Sale
“Kitten For Sale” cages will be available only if you have an entry in the show. Please keep in mind the show rule which limits two kittens per single cage. No kitten under 4 months of age is permitted in the show hall. No kittens may be kept in carriers under the cage or in your car. All kittens being sold at this show must be sold from a Sales Cage which you purchased for that purpose. There is a fee of $25 per single cage. You must have proof of age for all kittens being sold; i.e., a CFA Blue Slip & a Rabies certificate. A Rabies certificate is required by Virginia state law for all kittens that are 4 months of age.

Health
All cats and kittens entered or present in the show hall should be innoculated against feline enteritis, feline rhinotracheitis, calici viruses, and rabies (required by Virginia state law - bring proof of vaccination), and tested negative for FeLV. All cats should be free from fleas, fungus, or other health problems. Any cat suspected being ill, of having fleas, etc., is subject to removal from the show hall in accordance with CFA show rules. All claws must be clipped prior to benching.

General
CFA rules will be stricly enforced. A copy of the Show Rules may be obtained for $5.00 from CFA, PO Box 1005, Manasquan, NJ 08736. A PDF version of the Show Rules are also available online www.cfainc.org/catalog/index.html. All Championship, Premiership, and registered Kitten entries will be scored for CFA National and Regional awards. Registration numbers must be printed in the catalog. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to check entry confirmation and notify entry clerk of any errors.

Parade of Breeds
Parade of Breeds presentations will be on Saturday and Sunday. If you are able to bring a cat for the presentation, please contact our coordinator, Deb Curtis via phone at 703-421-7250 or email thedarksidecat@aol.com

Supplies and Miscellaneous
Litter will be provided at the showhall. You should bring litter boxes, food, bowls, and any other supplies needed by your feline friend.

This show is noted for having some of the best vendors available. If you want to join the show as a vendor, contact Dawn M. Shiley- Danzeisen or Frank Danzeisen at skogeier@erols.com or phone 703-489-0698.

Agility Entry
All are welcome to enter agility cats. It is prefered that you pre-enter you agility cat using the form on the CFA Agility web site, entries will also be accepted at the show. If the cat is not entered in the show and you pre-enter you will get one cage (single opening) with the entry. If you are not pre-entering please remember to order the extra cage to bench your agility cat. Agility cats must be benched per agailiy rules. If cat IS entered in the show, it is an additional $10 to participate in agility with the cat and an extra opening is not provided. If you have another entry in the show and want to enter agility te fee is $35 ($25 for the single cage and $10 for the entry). If you do not have an entry in the show and would lke to enter Agility only then the entry fee is $40 (the same rate as a HHP entry).

Check-In and Judging
Check-in on Saturday is from 8-9:30 AM at the showhall. Judging will start at 10 AM Saturday and 9:30 AM Sunday. Advertised show hours are 9:30 - 5:00 Saturday and 9:30 - 4:00 Sunday. No entries, with the exception of kittens, may leave the show hall before the end of the advertised show hours without the permission of the Show Manager. Single cage size is 22" x 22" x 22". National Capital reserves the right to substitute judges in case of emergency.

Show Hotel
The Holiday Inn Select, Chantilly-Dulles Expo Center, is located within walking distance of the show hall. National Capital has secured a room rate of $99 singe/double. The hotel provides transportation to and from the airport. To make a reservation and be included in the National Capital Block, please call 703-8156060 and reference the "National Capital Cat Show."The room block will be held until Aug. 15, 2008.

Show Hall
The Dulles Expo & Conference Center is located on Rt. 28 at Willard Road in Chantilly, Virginia. The phone number is 703-378-0910. The show hall is air conditioned and wheelchari accessible. People food is provided and there is plenty of free parking.

Junior Showmanship Ring
Junior Showmanship Ring will be on Sunday-only. Junior Showmanship is for youngsters 8 - 15 years old who want to learn about cat care and showing. For more information, visit cfa.org/shows/jr-showmanship.html.

Breed Booths
Breed Booths are welcomed and encouraged. If you would like to bring a breed booth to showcase your breed, please contact our booth coordinator, Laurie Coughlan via email at lecoughlan@aol.com. You will be provided two double cage spaces free of charge to set up your booth. If you want a 6’ table, there is a charge of $20. If you are bringing the breed booth you must indicate this on the entry form for appropriate benching and indicated if you need a table.
