Show Hall/Hotel DoubleTree@Lloyd Center 1000 NE Multnomah Street, Portland, OR 97232. Phone: 503-281-6111 or 800-996-0510. Use Cat Show for the code; group code is MKA if booking on the phone; or click on the link above.Show Rate is $109 single or double, no pet fee. Cut-off date is February 19, 2016. Make your reservations early as there are five conventions in town that weekend. We will not be responsible for trying to find you a hotel in Portland. There are many choices that allow pets. The show hall is easily accessible for the handicapped. This is a non-smoking show hall.
Airport Info: The show hall is 15 minutes from Portland International Airport PDX. The train is available for transportation from airport to hotel/show hall.
Entry Info: Per show rule 6.21 each entry must be accompanied by the stipulated entry fee. All online/fax entries must be paid in full within 10 days of receipt or prior to the start of the show, whichever is first. No substitutions after the closing date. No refunds once your entry has been received or for failure to bench. Checks must be in U.S. funds and made payable to MRCC. No post dated checks. Payment may be paid via Palpal. Exhibition or Sales Entries Must be accompanied by a regular entry and entered on a CFA entry form or will not be accepted.
Scoring: All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with an Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of novices can contact the entry clerk for a temporary registration number. Kittens may be entered without registration numbers, but will not be scored for CFA awards if a number is not provided at show time. Kittens without a registration number or TRN will not be included in the count.
Health: No veterinary inspection will be required prior to benching. It is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia (formerly known as feline distemper or feline infectious enteritis), feline rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. All cats/kittens must have all claws clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for competition.
Cages: Single cages (one provided per entry) are 21” x 21” x 21”. Double cages are 21” x 45” x 21”. No more than one adult cat or two kittens are permitted in a single cage. Three sides, the top and the bottom of the cage must be covered.
Food & Litter: Litter will be provided. Cat food will be available as donated. We suggest you bring your cat’s preferred food as well as litter pans, food and water dishes. People food is available at the hotel.
Household Pets: Household pets are eligible only for awards in the Household Pet Class. Household pets are to be judged separately from all other cats, solely on beauty and condition. Wild cats or wild cat-domestic hybrid crosses are not eligible for entry. All Household Pets eight (8) months of age or older must be spayed or neutered.
