Entry Info: Entries must be submitted on an official CFA entry form, which may be obtained from the CFA at www.cfainc.org . Fax/Email entries MUST be PAID within 10 DAYS of entry. If the show fills, entries not paid will be placed on a waiting list behind those entries already paid in full. PLEASE call or email entry clerk to confirm receipt of faxed and email entries. No substitutionís accepted after the closing date. No refunds made once your entry is received or for failure to bench. Make checks payable to Mad Catters; Returned check fee is $50. Phone entries and post dated checks are prohibited. All Household Pets over the age of 8 (eight) months must be neutered or spayed.
Check-In/Show Hours: The show hall opens at 7:30 am and all cats must be checked-in by 8:30 am or they will be marked absent. The show will start promptly at 9 am. All entries must remain in the show hall until 5 pm.
Benching: No EOR benching unless even number of entries or double cage with entry. Odd numbered entries with ANY size security cage must purchase an extra 1/2 cage space. * No end of row benching unless 2 entries or double cage with entry. Extra 1/2 cages and grooming spaces are VERY limited and will be on a first come, first served basis. One agent or one bench request per exhibitor. Bring your own litter pans. Club will provide litter. Individual cage size is 22" X 22" X 22".
Scoring: Ribbons and rosettes will be awarded in each ring in accordance with CFA rules. All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with a Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of novices can contact the entry clerk for a temporary registration number. Kittens may be entered without registration numbers, but will not be scored for CFA awards if a number is not provided at show time. Kittens without a registration number or TRN will not be included in the count.
Health: It is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia (formerly known as feline distemper or feline infectious enteritis), feline rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. All cats must be free of mites, fleas, fungus and any contagious illnesses. All cats/kittens must have all claws clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for competition.
All show rules will be strictly enforced. CFA Show rules will be strictly enforced. Copy of rules may be obtained for $7 from CFA, 260 E. Main St. Alliance, OH 44601. Madcatters reserves the right to substitute judges not listed on the flyer, if necessary. Madcatters will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Our show hotel is the The Holiday Inn - Frances Scott Key Mall 5400 Holiday Dr. Frederick, MD 21703 Ph: 301-694-7500 well behaved cats are welcome. Show Rate: $100 until block fills; mention you are with the Mad Catters cat show. Rooms sell out early so make your reservation early. Club will not be held responsible to find additional accommodation due to late reservations.
