Entry & Payment Info: Entries are accepted now. Entry Fees include CFA & Regional surcharges. Per show rule 6.21 each entry must be accompanied by the stipulated entry fee. All online/fax entries must be paid in full within 10 days of receipt or prior to the start of the show, whichever is first. Make checks payable to Mad Catters; returned check fee is $50 + all bank fees. No substitutions after the closing date. No refunds after the entry clerk has confirmed your entry or for failure to bench. Check your confirmation for accuracy and contact the entry clerk with any corrections BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE.
Check-In/Show Hours: The show hall opens at 7:30 am and all cats must be checked-in by 8:30 am or they will be marked absent. The show will start promptly at 9 am. All entries must remain in the show hall until 5 pm.
Benching: Individual cage size is 22" X 22" X 22" and is included with your entry fees. No EOR benching unless even number of entries or double cage with entry. Exhibitors with an odd number of entries using any size security cage are required to purchase an extra 1/2 cage. Extra 1/2 cages and grooming spaces are VERY limited and will be on a first come, first served basis. Sorry, no sales cages available. Bring your own litter pans. Club will provide litter.
Scoring: Ribbons and rosettes will be awarded in each ring in accordance with CFA rules. All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with a Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of novices can contact the entry clerk for a temporary registration number. Kittens may be entered without registration numbers, but will not be scored for CFA awards if a number is not provided at show time. Kittens without a registration number or TRN will not be included in the count.
Health: It is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia (formerly known as feline distemper or feline infectious enteritis), feline rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. All cats must be free of mites, fleas, fungus and any contagious illnesses. All cats/kittens must have all claws clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for competition.
Household Pets: All entries must be at least 4 months old; all entries 8 months or older must be neutered or spayed. Entries may not be declawed.
All show rules will be strictly enforced. CFA Show rules will be strictly enforced. Copy of rules may be obtained for $7 from CFA, 260 E. Main St. Alliance, OH 44601. Mad Catters reserves the right to substitute judges not listed on the flyer, if necessary. Mad Catters will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Our show hotel is the Clarion Inn Frederick Event Center (formerly The Holiday Inn) - Frances Scott Key Mall 5400 Holiday Dr. Frederick, MD 21703 Ph: 301-694-7500 well behaved cats are welcome. Show Rate: $100 until block fills. Us the link above or call the hotel and mention you are with the Mad Catters cat show. Rooms sell out early so make your reservation early. Club will not be held responsible to find additional accommodation due to late reservations.
