Show Hall: Hall A @ The George R. Brown Convention Center 1001 Avenida de las Americas Houston, Texas 77338 Ph: 713-853-8000. The show hall has heating or air conditioning as appropriate. Food is available, no outside food allowed. Please contact the show manager about Grand Cakes (not allowed, but we sneak in one per day). Pay parking lots are near the convention center. Rates behind the convention center are as low as $5/day. Do not park in the garage directly north of show hall (Rates there are $25/day). Smoking is not permitted in the show hall. The show hall is handicapped accessible. Exhibitors with handicaps are responsible for making their special needs known to the entry clerk.
CFA show rules will be strictly enforced. Copies of the current show rules can be obtained by contacting CFA (260 E. Main St. Alliance, OH 44601. All entries in Championship (except Novice), Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens, recorded Household Pets, and registered cats competing as Household Pets with an Household Pet color class prefix will be scored for CFA awards. Owners of novices can contact the entry clerk for a temporary registration number. Kittens may be entered without registration numbers, but will not be scored for CFA awards if a number is not provided at show time. Kittens without a registration number or TRN will not be included in the count. Copies of the current show rules can be obtained by contacting CFA 260 E Main St. Alliance, OH 44601.
Show rule 2.19E The MISCELLANEOUS (Non-Competitive) CLASS is for any registered cat or registered kitten of a breed not accepted for Provisional Breed competition. Miscellaneous Class entries are examined by judges; however, no awards will be made in this class. All Bengal championship, premiership and kitten entries can enter under a TRN, but all Bengals in the show hall must be registerable, (5 generation pedigree with no wild blood).
Check-In & Show Hours: Check-in Saturday is 7:30 to 8:30 am. Friday setup will be allowed from 1 to 5 pm. Exhibitors arriving late on Saturday and have already been marked absent in the catalog will have to notify each ring that they are present. Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm; Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm or until judging is complete. Entries (except kittens) may not be removed from the show hall prior to the completion of judging without the permission of the show manager.
Entry & Payment Info: Entries are accepted now. If championship cats or kittens are entered in addition to premiership cats, they will be considered the first two entries for purposes of calculating the entry fee. There will be no refund for failure to bench. Entry Fees include CFA & Regional surcharges. Per show rule 6.21 each entry must be accompanied by the stipulated entry fee. All online/fax entries must be paid in full within 10 days of receipt or prior to the start of the show, whichever is first. Please make checks payable to ?Houston Cat Club Charity Cat Show? or HCCCCS. Make PayPal payments to hcccharitycatshow@gmail.com. No substitutions after the closing date. No refunds after the entry clerk has confirmed your entry or for failure to bench. Check your confirmation for accuracy and contact the entry clerk with any corrections BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE.
Benching: Single cages are 22"X22"X22" and are included with your entry fee; double cages are 22"X22"X45". Exhibitors must provide their own cage curtains. Benching requests made at time of entry will be honored when possible. Bring your own cat food, dishes and litter pans - litter will be provided. Security cage for single entry requires purchase of extra half cage.
Kitten Sales: You must have an entry in the show. You must purchase a For Sale cage in order to sell cats or kittens at this show (if the cats or kittens are not entered in the show). One adult or two kittens per 1/2 cage space. Proof of age may be required for very small kittens. No cat or kitten may be sold for less than $100.No kittens under 4 months of age are allowed in the show hall. No cats or kittens permitted in carriers under the benching tables. Cats or kittens that are sold may not leave the show hall without an exit pass obtained from the Information Booth. These rules will be enforced.
Veterinary: This is a non-vetted show. It is strongly advised that all entries be inoculated against feline panleukopenia, feline rhinotracheitis, and calici viruses. It is also strongly recommended that cats be tested and found negative for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus. All entries must be free of fleas, fungus, and ear mites, and have a current rabies vaccination. The show committee reserves the right to remove any cat or kitten from the show hall if suspected of having any of the above conditions until examined by a veterinarian at the owner?s or agent?s expense. Entries? claws must be clipped on all four feet. Declawed cats are ineligible per CFA rules.
Liability: Reasonable care of cats and other property will be provided. However, neither The Houston Cat Club nor the George R. Brown Convention Center will be liable for any loss or damage to a cat, exhibitor, or their personal property. No cats may be left in the show hall overnight.
Show Hotel: The Four Seasons Hotel 1300 Lamar St, Houston, TX 77010 Ph: 713-650-1300. The Four Seasons has graciously waived the $250 pet deposit and has reduced the room rate to $125 for Houston Cat Club exhibitors. Only 2 people to a room or an extra $50 charge per person. No cats are to be left unattended in the rooms. For reservations call 800-734-4114. For the special rate, please identify yourself as being part of the Houston Cat Club 65th Annual Charity Cat Show-Guest Rooms Party and specify accommodations (King, Queen, or Double) at $125 per night. December 29th is the deadline for making reservations. There is no free shuttle from the airports. A shuttle to the show hall can be requested at the hotel on a first come basis.

Household Pets: Household Pets are judged all 8 rings. Contact Toni Huff at toni.huff3969@yahoo.com or 936-222-8319. Household Pets will be inspected at check in. Toygers, Serengetis, Savannahs and Chausies are not permitted in the show hall, will not be benched, and the entry fee will not be refunded.
