Hours: Check-in is from 7:30 – 8:30 am. Scheduled show hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Show Hotel: The show hotel is the LaQuinta Inn & Suites 311 Stadium Drive, Waxahachie, TX 75165, 972-937-5525, with a block of rooms for the Gulf Shore Region at $79/night NO PET DEPOSIT, we expect all exhibitors to maintain their rooms so that we can use this facility again. This is the ONLY pet-friendly facility close to our show hall. There is another LaQuinta in Ennis which is approximately 15 miles from the show hall. Call direct at 972-937-5525 and ask for the Gulf Shore Region Cat Show rate when booking your rooms. Reservation cut-off date is October 7th, so please book your room as early as possible. Show Catalog: A copy of the show catalog is included with the first entry. Additional copies can be purchased at the front gate while supplies last. Awards: All championship, premiership and registered kitten entries will be scored for CFA regional and national awards. Household Pets will be judged in all eight rings. Permanent flats will be used but ribbons will be available on request. This show will be conducted under current CFA rules. A copy of these rules may be obtained by sending in $7 to CFA 260 East Main St. Alliance, OH 44601. Household Pets: Region 3 welcomes owners to enter their household pets in our show. HHPs will be judged in 7 rings. Cats over 8 months of age are required to be neutered or spayed but CAN NOT be declawed. Household pet exhibitors can contact the entry clerk with questions about entering, grooming and preparing for the show. New Exhibitors: New exhibitors can find useful information at www.cfanewbee.org about exhibiting their cats/kittens. Benching: This is a non-vetted show. All entries should be vaccinated by a licensed Veterinarian against Feline Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis, Calici Virus and Rabies. It is also recommended that cats/kittens be tested for Feline Leukemia and found negative before entry. Cats must be free of fleas, ear mites, fungus and any contagious illness. The claws of all four feet must be clipped. Declawed cats are not eligible for entry (including HHPs) Individual entries will be provided a 22"x22"x22" benching cage. Exhibitor's with security cages MUST pay for the double cage space and are requested to indicate their use on their entry form. For those exhibitors using the cages provided by the club, bring cage curtains of your choice to cover the sides, back and top. Kitten Sales: All for sale kittens must be at least 4 months of age and only exhibitors with an entry or entries in the show maypurchase a sales cage. Only two cats or four kittens per double sales cage allowed. No cat or kitten may be kept in carriers under the benching tables.
