Entries: Entries must be typed or printed legibly, signed and submitted on an official CFA entry form. Entry Clerk will call COLLECT if any questions arise concerning you entry. A $50 fee will be charged on all returned checks, NOTE: We will accept fax, online and email entries. Any fees paid at check-in or on April 25, 2009 will be assessed a $5 penalty fee.
Hours: Check-in on Saturday 7:30 – 8:30. Advertised show hours are 9-4.Judging will begin at 9:00 a.m. sharp.
Show Hall: National Guard Armory, 401 S. Alabama Ave. Deland, FL. This is a non-smoking, air conditioned facility. Parking is free for exhibitors and spectators. Show Hall phone is 386-736-5422.
Show Hotel: Best Western – Deltona Inn 481 Deltona Blvd. Deltona, FL Phone: 386-860-3000. Show Rate: $58.00. Reserve early. Please mention the cat shows to get the show rate. Don't forget Jax Place - fine dining right on hotel premises.
Supplies: Clay litter will be provided. Please bring your own litter pans, cat food and water/food dishes.
Health: This is non-vetted show. Daytona Beach Cat Fanciers strongly recommends testing for FeLV/FIV. Cats must be free of fungus, fleas, ear/body mites and contagious diseases. Exhibitors in violation will be told to leave the show hall.
General: CFA show rules will be strictly enforced. A copy of the rules may be obtained for $5 from CFA, PO Box 1005 Manasquan, NJ 08736. All cats/kitten must have all claws clipped prior to benching. Declawed cats are not eligible for competition. All championship, premiership and registered kittens will be scored for CFA National and Regional Awards. Registration numbers of cats must be printed in the catalog; registration numbers for kittens can be submitted at the show to the master clerk. It’s the exhibitor’s responsibility to check entry confirmation and notify entry clerk of any errors when the confirmation is received.
Benching: All benching will be by exhibitor and no changes in assignment will be allowed without permission of the Show Manager. No refunds for failure to bench. Cages measure 22”W x 22”H x22”D. Benching requests made at the time of entry will be honored whenever possible. Remember that this is a request, not a requirement.
Daytona Beach Cat Fanciers will take reasonable care to safeguard entries and property of exhibitors. However, the club will not be liable for any loss or damage. All cat must be removed from the show hall at night.
