Entry Information: No phone entries accepted. Make checks payable to, “Crab & Mallet Cat Club”. All information must be on official CFA entry form and or online CFA form. Entry clerk will call if questions arise concerning your entry. If entries are sent via an overnight service, make sure that no signature is required for delivery to the entry clerk. If entries for adult cats (except HHP’s) received without a registration number will be returned. Declawed cats are not eligible for entry. No kittens under the age of 4 months will be allowed in the show hall. No cats may be left in the show hall overnight. Directions to the show hall and parking information as well as show hall information will be sent with confirmations. Conformations will be sent via e-mail unless otherwise known by the entry clerk. Sorry, but the club cannot provide transportation either to the show hall or to or from the airport. The club will exercise care with the sponsorship of the show. The club, its members, nor the show hall facility will be liable for any loss or damage. Benching: Check in is from 8AM to 9:30 AM on Saturday March 10, 2007 and at 9AM on Sunday March 11, 2007. Start Times: Saturday 10:00 a.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. Advertised show hours are until 4PM on both days. This is a non-vetted show. All cats & kittens are expected to be free of fleas, fungus, ear mites, and other diseases. Any evidence of disease detected by a judge and or brought to the attention of the show committee will be handled in accordance with CFA show rules. All entries should be inoculated against Feline Enteritis, Rhinothracheitis and Calici viruses and tested for Fe-LV by a licensed vet. CFA rules require that cat’s front and back paws be clipped prior to benching. Cages are approximately 22” x 22” x 22”. Only ONE benching request will be allowed. You may choose either an agent or a benching request. If you request an agent, additional benching requests will not be honored. NO REFUNDS FOR FAILURE TO BENCH. Scoring: All championship, premiership and registered kittens will be scored for CFA national and regional awards. Show Hall: The Show Place Arena is located at 14900 Pennsylvania Ave., Upper Marlboro, MD 301-952-7900. This is a non smoking, heated and handicapped accessible show hall. Handicap parking is available. Hook ups for campers are available. People food is available at the show hall (breakfast and lunch) on the concourse level. Show Hotel: Days Inn ---5001 Mercedes Blvd Camp Springs, MD 20746 (7 miles from the show hall) 301-423-2323 for reservations. Rate: $89.95 + $10.00 per charge. Continental breakfast is included in the room charge. Ask for the Crab & Mallet block of rooms. Reservations accepted until February 5, 2007. Please remember to confine your animals and gather all trash before departure. There are numerous restaurants within a short distance to the Days Inn. The show hotel is approximately 7 miles from the show hall. Litter: Litter will be provided by our sponsors. Please bring your own litter box whether using show litter or not. Show Rules: This show is licensed by the Cat Fanciers’ Association, Inc. CFA rules will be enforced. For a copy of the rules send $5.00 to Cat Fanciers’ Association, P.O. Box 1005, Manasquan, NJ 08736-0805. Additional Info: For your protection if you are selling kittens you must get sale slips from the club (master clerk table). The door attendants will not allow spectators to exit the building during the show with a cat/kitten that does not have a sale slip issued by the seller. Per Prince George’s County law there will be an EMS on duty and three PG County policemen during the entire show. There will be a number of cats at the show that were shipped north from “Katrina” shelters in the south. If you can, bring a can of cat food to donate to one of the two Humane Societies that will be present with us. They will appreciate it and so will we!
